The 2.8jtd does not use conventional glow plugs, but instead a flame starter, or alternatively an electric "thermal strter". The flame starter appears to be more common.

For testing a 12V test lamp is useful, as it can prove a circuit through the motor etc., while a modern multimeter can be misleading due to its high sensitivity giving a reading through a faulty connection. 6. Hi Geoff, the reason I ask is - on the little cars the single fan runs at 2 speeds so it could've been a diagnostic aid, as you've essentially covered all the obvious..barring a lost earth - and it running constantly as a by-product.., I'd be tempted to disable it, and run a new switched supply to the fan.:idea:have you tried pulling fuses to see if it's being oddly powered by another circuit.
Points. 2. Dec 6, 2015. #1. Hello all! I have problem starting my Ducato. Whwn I bought it the fuelpump was bad so it wouldent run good, after that was changed it started and run good. But now it doesent start when its cold even if I have te webasto on. If I give it start gas in the airbox it starts and run great after that.
Exp. since 2014. Sep 24, 2020. #1. For sometime now the van doesn't seem to be charging the batteries properly from the engine. The engine is a 2012 3Lt. A new alternator has been fitted and I've checked the earth strap, but still the problem persists. Does anyone have any ideas as to what else I should be checking. DBK said: No, on EHU the cab battery won't be charged, the battery charger will only charge the leisure batteries. This is why a Battery Master is a great extra. There are alternatives but the BM does the job. To be fair, some do charge the cab battery when on EHU. It depends on the converter & what they fit.

New user here, just joined. OK I bought a Fiat Motorhome with a "ROLLERTEAM" build. 2015 Ducato 2.3 turbo engine. The problem I have is with the air conditioner. It was regassed, just last week. Had next to no gas, but no leaks detected. The issue is when it works, it is fantastic. so cold But the light on the air condintioner keeps flashing
