4 CYL 2WD MANUAL 65,000 MILES Vehicle listed above is a c4 grand picasso mk2. I've never had a problem in 4 years of ownership then whilst driving home I stopped and it wouldn't restart. Checked diagnostics and showed no faults. press start button, can hear relay click under dash but nothing.

The main earths have been checks and all checkout fine. I have also tested the main positive to the starter motor which was also fine. This lead to drop test the control wire on the starter and under cranking with the issue present I have notice there's only 9V at the control terminal of the starter.

If you have access to a voltmeter, a fully charged battery, engine not running you should see about 12volts. Start the engine, the alternator will be turning and should be charging the battery now, you should see the voltage rise to around 15volts. If it doesn't the alternator is dead, should be able to fix for under £100.

the clicking noise is the solinoid for the starter motor firing to engage the engine and start it, how ever its firing but then not turning the engine which is why you just hearing a click. now that will either be some sort of fault with the electric in the starter or maybe not enough juice comming from the battry to turn the engine over. I

Hello all. Today I tried to remove my starter motor for my Citroen c3 2006 model. I have followed the Haynes manual about removing the 3 mounting bolts and 1 bolt holding the starter onto the loom bracket. The problem is that the starter motor won’t come off.
